Acquisition of Ion Blast technology widens product range
GEA Bischoff has added an innovative version of the electrostatic precipitator technology (ESP) to its product range. The technology was part of the acquisition in December 2009 of Finland's Ion Blast Oy, a company specialised in this field. With this innovative technology and a worldwide patent protection, GEA Bischoff has widened its product range in the area of de-dusting plants. The technology allows a lighter construction of ESPs and high efficiency particle removal by using the ionic wind. With more than 100 reference plants this technology is already being applied successfully in various industries in the Nordic market.
As of 1 January 2010 the Ion Blast technology will be marketed worldwide by GEA Bischoff in close co-operation with the newly established GEA Bischoff Oy
in Helsinki, with Timo Seppälä as Managing Director. ...more
